Sam Habash and his family took over the struggling Corner Store in 2016, transforming it into a popular convenience store and diner that has quickly become a fixture for the Mt. Sterling community. Sam has run shops like this for more than 30 years, but has found a home in the Corner Store. “This is more special than any place I’ve ever owned,” says Sam. His son Salem took on a leadership role for the first time when the Habash family began running the Corner Store. The family and good food keep people coming back, and Sam is training his sons to carry the torch.
